Der Sharish DARK SKY Gin aus Portugal ist eine limitiere Auflage (bestehend aus nur 2.662 Flaschen weltweit) eines weiteren Meisterstücks des Master Distillers Antónío Cuco. Die Destillerie Sharish hat seine Pforten im Jahr 2013 geöffnet und überzeugt seit jeher mit seiner regionalen Verbundenheit beim Bezug der Botanicals.

Bei dem Sharish DARK SKY Gin werden vierzehn handverlesene Botanicals verwendet. Zu den Wachholderbeeren gesellen sich unter anderem frische Bravo de Esmolfe Äpfel, Koriandersamen, Kardamom, Mandarinenschale, Zimt, Vanille, Orangenschale, Zitronenverbene, Nelken und Zitronenschale. Bei der sorgfältigen Herstellung des Gins lässt man sich besonders viel Zeit um ein optimales Brennergebnis zu erzeugen. Bei der Mazeration werden alle Botanicals für mindestens einen Monat mazeriert und im Anschluss alle separat destilliert und dann mit einem gemeinsamen Brennvorgang abgeschlossen.

Die Destillerie Sharish hat seine Pforten im Jahr 2013 geöffnet und überzeugt seit jeher mit seiner regionalen Verbundenheit beim Bezug der Botanicals.

Bei dem Sharish Pêra Rocha werden vierzehn handverlesene Botanicals verwendet. Zu den Wachholderbeeren gesellen sich unter anderem frische Birne (Pera Rocha Birne), Koriandersamen, Orangen- und Zitronenschale, Thymian, Mandarinenblätter, Tannennadeln, Holunder, Lavendel, Nelken, Iriswurzel, Angelikawurzel, Süßholz. Bei der sorgfältigen Herstellung des Gins lässt man sich besonders viel Zeit um ein optimales Brennergebnis zu erzeugen. Bei der Mazeration werden alle Botanicals für mindestens einen Monat mazeriert und im Anschluss alle separat destilliert und dann mit einem gemeinsamen Brennvorgang abgeschlossen.

Among the botanicals we can find strawberries, raspberries, cinnamon, cardamon, lemon, angelica root, ginger, licorice, coriander seeds and clear juniper. The star of this new Gin it’s a flower named Clitoria ternatea that gives the Gin a blue tone without the use of artificial coloring.

According to the producer this Gin has a “magic touch” because when added to tonic water the mixture of liquids passes from blue to a light pink. This new release celebrates the first year of life of the Sharish project in the best way.

Characterisation:

Distilled in a traditional portuguese cober still, it uses a combination of nine botanicals carefully selected: Juniper, Cinnamon, Coriander seeds, Clove, Vanilla, Orange Peel, Lemon Peel, Bravo Esmolfe Apple PDO (Protected designation of origin) and Lemon Verbena . With the particularity that the last four botanicals are used fresh. Due to the diferent characteristics and points of evaporation, the botanicals slowly distillate separately, allowing a greater quality in the final distillation. During the process, all the impurities are removed so the result is as limpid as possible.

Water, alcohol, juniper, cinnamon, coriander seeds, cloves, vanilla, orange peel, lemon peel, Bravo Esmolfe apple (PDO) and lemon verbena.

Characterisation:

Sharish Laurinius Gin is a limited edition, aged in oak barrels of Lourinhã Brandy. Lourinhã is a village nearby the sea, in the west zone of Portugal, that are one of the only three Brandy demarcated Region in the world (like Cognac and Armagnac). The oak barrels preserve the freshness of Gin and increase the complexity of flavour.

Laurinius is distilled in a still traditional Portuguese copper, who contains in its process of elaboration 10 botanists carefully selected: Bay Leaves, Juniper, Cinnamon, Seed of Coriander, Clove, Vanilla, Peel of Orange, Peel of lemon of Alentejo, Verbena and Pear of West Zone (Pêra Rocha – POD) – with the last four, being used fresh.
